❓ Questions and answers…
What’s your job position at MELD + what do you do for MELD?
I’m a Content Manager/Social Media Specialist at MELD. It’s my responsibility to help guide the content creation and distribution processes. I also assist with the ambassador program and other marketing responsibilities.
What did you do before working with MELD?
Before working with MELD, I worked with a game development company where I created content as well as worked on architecture and game design.
Prior to that, I worked at a natural health and supplement startup, managing staff, creating marketing campaigns, and selling face-to-face. I had many hats here and required an entrepreneurial mindset to get things done.
Prior to pivoting to the world of start-ups, I worked for a couple of major insurance companies as both an agent and an underwriter
When did you first get involved in crypto?
2 years ago a passionate member of the XRP army recruited me and sold me on the dream of degeneracy in crypto. He was saying that XRP could reach $10,000 and some other crazy things about the company.
Very shortly after this XRP incident, I learned about Cardano and fell in love with the ideals of how crypto could empower human rights, and empower people to build the future without any barrier to creation. Developers can just write code, deploy it to the chain and people can start interacting with it.
After finding Cardano, I jumped into governance/Catalyst and learned a lot, and met some amazing people. And then I found MELD, when MELD launched the ISPO I jumped in on day one. MELD has embodied the vision that I saw in crypto so it has been awesome to have the opportunity to contribute to the project and the future of finance.
What do you like the most about crypto?
On a philosophical level, what I like about crypto, is that it more accurately reflects the complexity of real life in the physical world, in a digital realm.
In the physical world, we have an infinite number of variables and an infinite number of potential outcomes. There is no “perfect” or “ideal” situation because there are just too many variables at play.
In the digital world, however, we have a finite number of variables and a finite number of potential outcomes. This is because everything in the digital world is based on code, which is a finite set of rules. Having a finite set of defined rules and constraints is necessary to build useful things, which in turn, allow for better access into our infinite world.
With crypto, as more and more companies are starting to build and create protocols, we are starting to see a more accurate reflection of the physical world in the digital world. This is a good thing, in my opinion, because it allows for a more realistic and accurate representation of the world we live in.
Do you have any predictions on where crypto will be 5 years from now?
Society will have integrated with blockchain to the extent that our economies will become significantly more complex, comprehensive, and empowering. We will also see, an incredibly oppressive dynamic from certain governments and other organizations using the tools of blockchain to control, manipulate and oppress.
I see crypto, in 5 years, as an ever-increasing opportunity space for anyone with a creative idea. It’s not a utopia, but it’s an insanely bright future if we work hard now and steward it well.
What do you like doing outside of crypto and MELD?
I like spending time with my family and playing with my kids, I love go-karting with my son. He has his own go-kart and competes in races! Go-karting is our main family activity and our daughter is looking to start next year.
Besides family and friends, I love philosophizing, reading books, and expanding my brain to new dimensions 🚀

MELD — Be Your Own Bank
We think it’s essential for everyone to gain control of their financial lives and have equal access to financial instruments used by professionals, not just centralized institutions, governments, or the 1%. We want to provide financial freedom and control to the masses, including the unbanked.
We have a long-term goal to enable the $15 trillion that is currently locked out of the global economy, including 2 billion individuals worldwide that are either underbanked or have no access to banking services whatsoever, access to these tools. These are the people that are paying the highest fees, and getting the worst customer service, and they are the ones that are having the most problems.
Our vision is to create an ecosystem that empowers individuals to regain financial control by providing them with the tools and services they need to manage their money on their terms. Whether that be creating a collateralized debt position (CDP) with cryptocurrency, earning an interest return for lending fiat to borrowers, or even participating in reward incentive programs, we strive to provide our users with the functions they need to manage their own financial lives.
